Our loss in weight (LIW) feeders are the apt solution for continuous regulation of feed rate of pulverized material, pellets, granules and /or fibres in a process. The offered LIW feeders optimally cater to all requirements of rugged industrial application. Designed to operate on the principle of controlled loss in weight of a hopper positioned on high precision & high resolution load cells of rugged design, the feeders have a completely corrosion and acid resistant structure which is totally enclosed (IP67) i.e. dust tight, gas tight, pressure tight & pressure proof. Or in other words pollution of the product & of the environment is ruled out. The material to be fed is discharged from the hopper, depending upon the material characteristics, by various discharge aids such as variable speed single or double screw/spiral or an electromagnetic vibrating feeder. The device is supplied complete with a command and control cubicle equipped with our electronic weighing system WS200L series.

From the loss in weight per unit time, the actual flow rate is compared with the set point and the feeder controlled such that the actual flow rate matches accurately and consistently with the set point. During the short refilling time the feeder operates volumetrically by the control magnitude stored during the gravimetric period of operation. A single operator can easily disassemble and assemble the system and have easy access to contact parts for quick product change and clean out.
