SWEIPL, in collaboration with Saet, Italy, offers two series of Belt Weighers BW90 and BW200 which have been designed especially for dynamically weighing a complete range of solid materials on a belt in severe industrial environments. The special construction, both compact and economical, of Belt Weighers is based on the most recent evolution in the field of load cells. The Belt Weighers are made up of a mechanical mono block structure preassembled and fully prepared for installation without having to carry out changes in the existing structure. The weighing bridge is made up of a single or double idlers that weigh directly on a highly precise and linear load cell.

Belt Speed is measured by means of a digital transducer which can be keyed, as in BW90, onto the transmission gear of the belt or as in BW200 onto the transmission drum of the weigh bridge itself. Alternately the transducer can be mounted onto the weighing bridge itself, activated by the return belt/ transmission belt in the BW90 & BW200 series respectively.

The Weighing system are supplied complete with the microprocessor measurement and control system, series WS200, thus ensuring maximum performance in precision and reliability as well as extreme ease in verification, thanks to the automatic calibrating systems. The microprocessor based weighing unit calculates the instantaneous flow rate and totalizes the amount of material in transit working on the load cell measuring signal together with the belt speed signal.

The mechanical structure is so designed as to assure the best translation of the weight of the material on the belt even under conditions of irregular load and variable particle size. In case the installation of conveyor is such that the process requires varying inclination of conveyor or adjustable inclination from time to time, the load cell signal will enter measurement as an error. In such special applications, consinometer/inclinometer can be provided for belt angle input to the controller.

Thanks to the elimination of all surface on which dust may deposit and all parts subject to wear or respective movement, Belt Weighers are easy to clear and require no maintenance.
